Gala Fundraising Dinner
October 22, 2004

As part of the effort to raise the funds required to restore Building 66050, the Southwest Association of Buffalo Soldiers hosted a fundraising dinner on October 22, 2004.  The keynote speaker was R. Michael McCraw, board member of the San Diego Foundation.  The guest speaker was Maggie Morehouse, PhD, Professor of History at the University of South Carolina-Aiken and author of "Fighting in a Jim Crow Army".  Thanks to the generosity of the silent auction sponsors and hard work by all the board and committee members, the event raised over $30,000 toward the renovation project.  Photos below are from the Gala Fundraising event.
