A B O U T    U S 

 

Goals and Objectives of the Southwest Association of Buffalo Soldiers:

  • Research and inform the public, especially school children, of the historical significance of the Buffalo Soldiers.
     

  • Identify and record all Military service of Black combat regiments and combat-support units.
     

  • Identify the home of the 92nd and 93rd Infantry Divisions and locate their colors and artifacts.
     

  • Establish a research center of U. S. Black Military Units; to include their courageous actions in combat.
     

  • Make historical presentations to active military units, educational institutions, business agencies and civic organizations.
     

  • Plan and execute annual programs for "Salute to Buffalo Soldier Days" in Sierra Vista/Fort Huachuca, Arizona.

Incorporation

The Southwest Association of Buffalo Soldiers, Inc. is a 501C(3) tax exempt, non-profit organization, exclusively for charitable, research and educational purposes and is
incorporated under the laws of the state of Arizona.

Our vision:

Save and restore the Mountain View Black Officers Club, Building 66050, Fort Huachuca, Arizona
- The only Officers Club built specifically for Black Officers during World War II....
- A historical building which has been mandated for demolition.....
